At SOCKBOX, we’re committed to ensuring our members and gift recipients enjoy their socks on schedule, even during unforeseen challenges like the ongoing Canada Post strike. Here’s what we’re doing to minimize the impact and keep our service running as smoothly as possible.
Shipping During the Strike
For over a decade, SOCKBOX has relied on Canada Post to deliver our Sock of the Month memberships. This includes navigating disruptions like the 2018 strike, where we worked tirelessly to ensure every member received their socks. During this current strike, we’re continuing to prepare shipments for Canada Post for monthly Sock of the Month deliveries.
For time-sensitive shipments, like our Twelve Days of Socksmas, we’ve switched to other couriers to ensure these holiday favourites arrive promptly.
New Quarterly Membership Option
To provide more flexibility and reduce dependency on Canada Post, we’ve introduced a quarterly shipment option for our Sock memberships. With this new plan:
- Members will receive three (or six) pairs of socks every three months.
- All shipments will be sent through couriers outside of Canada Post for the foreseeable future.
- Tracking is included to give you additional peace of mind – please no PO Boxes for shipping address.
If you’re an existing member and want to switch from monthly to quarterly shipments, please contact us. We’re happy to make the change for you.
US Shipments Unaffected
For our members and gift recipients in the United States, rest assured that your deliveries remain unaffected. These orders are handled by alternative couriers and are shipping as usual.
Patience and Assurance
While we hope the strike resolves quickly, some delays are inevitable. We promise that every pair of socks ordered will be delivered—whether during or after the strike. SOCKBOX members will never miss out, and your subscriptions will be fulfilled in full.
