Today the Canada Post Strike was suspended, with an expectation of mail services begin to resume. It will still be a very slow start to get caught up, and we’re still going to begin shipping all orders that were scheduled for December 2024 ship dates, in January 2025.

We will extend the membership expiration by one month so that the full number of months will be shipped (i.e. 6-month to begin in December 2024, would end in May 2025 – now will begin January 2025, and and in June 2025).

Today is a tough day. Last week I wrote about how we are approaching the strike. Today, I’ve made the very tough decision that we’re not going to ship any more Sock of the Month, monthly orders in December. Twelve Days of Socksmas, and Quarterly Sock Memberships are also available with full tracking, and do not use Canada Post.

This is the first time since we started shipping awesome socks in November 2014 that we’re not sending out socks to all of our members. I’m truly sorry for this.

Q: Why can’t you use a courier to ship my monthly subscription?

A: We send all our Sock of the Month orders for Canada through Canada Post lettermail, and normally they arrive in 5-10 business days depending on your location. We use this shipping method to keep costs low for our customers and for this reason we are unable to offer tracking information or guaranteed delivery dates. The use of other couriers would require us to significantly increase the costs to all members.

Q: When does the quarterly option ship?

A: The first month ships in the month that you select, and then the first week of the month every 3 months. As an example, if you were to place your order today (December 11) then your first shipment would happen this week, your next shipment would be the first week of March, second shipment the first week of June, and so on.

Q: I ordered a quarterly option, am I impacted?

A: No. Your shipment will depart our warehouse based on our holiday shipping calendar.

Q: Is the quarterly option recurring?

A: Just like our Sock of the Month, we have a prepaid gift option that does NOT have any recurring fees, as well as a recurring option that you can renew automatically every 1, 2, 4 or 8 quarters.

Q: I have a monthly order placed that I wanted to ship in December, what are my options?

A: We have a few options that we can offer you.

  1. We can begin shipping in January (or any other month you choose), for the same number of months. This would extend the final month.
  2. Depending on the duration, and pairs, we can convert all, or the first shipment to a quarterly option. This would allow us to ship the first 3-months of the membership in a single shipment.
  3. Receive a full refund. For us, this isn’t ideal, but we completely understand that we’re unable to deliver on what you ordered, and what we promised. We can provide refund as store credit, or back to your method of payment used. Please contact us to request your refund.

Q: I paid for special “DO NOT OPEN UNTIL CHRISTMAS” Stealth Packaging, can I get a refund?

A: Yes. Please contact us to request your refund.

Q: I want a refund?

A: Please contact us. Please refrain from contacting your credit card company to process a chargeback as this negatively impacts us further in the long term. We will process the refund for you.

Q: I have a monthly order that I want shipped in a different month, what are my options?

A: Our hope is that operations will return to normal levels in January 2025, and we will begin shipping in the chosen shipping month. You’re always free to request a refund, even during the membership period.

Q: Is there a cost to change from monthly to quarterly?

A: There is no cost to change. Please contact us to change to a quarterly option.

Q: Is there a change in the cost of a quarterly option?

A: The cost of a quarterly is the same as every 3-month membership. So there is no additional cost to change from a 3, 6, 12 or 24 month membership to a quarterly shipment. If you were to receive two-pairs each month, you would receive 6-pairs in the quarterly shipment. If you have one-pair each month, then you would receive three in your quarterly shipment.

Q: My recurring subscription renewed in December, what’s going to happen?

A: We will ship your order in January, and defer the next automatic renewal by an additional month.

Q: The final month shipment was November, where’s my mail?

A: If you didn’t receive your shipment, it’s stuck in Canada Post system somewhere. Some of our members did receive their November shipment. Our understanding is that once the mail begins moving, your final month will be delivered. All renewal offers will be extended until February 8, 2025 instead of the December 8, 2024 expiration date as mentioned.

Q: The final month shipment is December, what’s happening?

A: Your shipment is ready to go, but will ship out with the January shipment. Any renewal offer will be extended until February 8, 2025.
